Smith, representing tho Aiuslie Lumber company, lias returned from rortland, Ore. Ho reports that city as lively as a cricket and nailing onward irrespective of other places in the restless west. Within four months Mr. Smith sold over HOD earsof lumber, but the unsatisfactory e mdition of the scarcity of cars has enabled him to deliver de-liver about one half the amount in different dif-ferent parts of Utah. Mr. Smith will open an ollico in Salt Lake next week. |
