Show Mr. Hlaine and the Presidency. Omaha Bee. Ho is opposed to so much of tho McKinley Mc-Kinley tarill law as raises tho duties on necessaries of life. Hu would have the law revved on the theory that is the ' Wisest protection which causes the least 'direct expense to consumers. He believes in the most thorough and far-reaching application cf reciprocity, to the end that foreign products used largely by the masses shall be delivered in our markets without the added expense ex-pense of import duties, and that the foreign market for American products shall be enlarged to tho precise extent that imports are admitted free. He il opposed to the Lodge election bill on the ground that it is a revival o f s lionalisin and not in keeping with the spirit of the times. He favors the increase of the circulating circulat-ing medium by conservative methods that will limit its benefits strictly to the people of the Uuited States. |
