Show The extensive struct improvements that are now in progress are evidences of Salt Lake's enterprise. It is true that several streets are torn up by sewer, gas and water trenches, but this is necessary ne-cessary to complete a large amount of much needed work during the working season- Besides employment is thus given to a large number of men at tho same time, thus puttiug in circulation a great deal of money. We cannot push such enterprises any too rapidJy after tbe work has been determined upon. When street paving is decided upon, we would like to see every business street torn up at once and the !' pavement put down with a rush. . The quicker these improvements ore made made the better it will be for the city. |
