Information Infor-mation has just readied hero from Ashley, Ash-ley, that an cxteusive cave-in occurred nt noon in tho mine operated by the Lehigh & Wilkesbarre coal compauy. It is rumored that twculy-six miners are cutombed beyond tho cave and have as yet no way of escape. Many houses in the vicinity arc reported toppling over. ANOTHER ACCOUKT. Wilkesbarre, Pa., May 15. A cave-In cave-In occurred today near Ashley mine, operated by tho Lehigh & Wilkesbarre Coal company. Twenty-live men were entombed. Tho scene of tho disaster is one of intense excitement, not only tho relatives of tho imprisoned miners but thousands of others gathered upon the Bpot discussing tho best methods of effecting their rescue. Things are in such a chaotic condition condi-tion that the result is by no means certain. cer-tain.
