Show FIRE COMPANIES PLANNING YEARLY CLEAN-UP DRIVE Sponsorship of the annual clean-up drive which is to take place in the near future was decided de-cided upon by the Bingham Volunteer Vol-unteer Firemen at their Joint meeting Tuesday evening. Consideration Is being given a suggestion that a $10 prize be awarded the home which Is judged jud-ged as making most improvement improve-ment in appearance during the campaign which will run for 15 days this year instead of one week as has been done In the past. The town board will be asked to donate trucks and labor la-bor to assist in the drive. Other organizations will be invited in-vited to participate in the worthwhile worth-while project. The committee named to work out plans are as follows: Ray Tatton, Marlln Schultz, Dormus Larsen from Company No. 1; Clarence Robison, Robi-son, John Hutchings and R. Nelson Nel-son from No. 2. A discussion of a proposed lighted softball field near the old Royal laundry disclosed that the project was unanimously unani-mously approved by the fire companies. com-panies. Vern Faddis was named as the committeeman to Join with representatives of other local lo-cal organizations ia discussing the prospects. Vern Faddis reported that the fire truck committee had made recommendations to the town board on the type truck they considered most suited to local requirements. A model D. International Inter-national three ton chassis truck with a 100 gallon booster tank, 400 gallon pump equipped with necessary accessories was chosen chos-en by the committee which had investigated trucks. Mr. Faddis stated that the town board was hunting a buyer for the two fire trucks now in use before a new one will be ordered. o |
