Show Headquarters Co. 940 Captain Miller returned from his two weeks leave July 27. He reports re-ports that the fighting of the big trout in the Canadian waters, was a very great aid in helping him to enjoy a very pleasant vacation. Company 536 staged a very exciting ex-citing victory over the 940 boys July 28 edging them out by a score of 9-8. Neither team made a score until the third inning, then Company 940 ralliod by making the score 4-0 in the third. Company 536 came back in the last of the sixth by making the score 7-4. The F-48 lads then tied the score and it remained the same nntil the last of the seventh. Two more innings in-nings were played before the winner win-ner could be decided. It ended in 536's favor. As there were not enough baseball base-ball players left in camp July 25, the game with Farmington was postponed until Thursday evening. The boys arc just beginning to recuperate re-cuperate from the holidays and are 'are ready to go with a determination determina-tion to show Farmington a close ?ame. |
