Show BINGHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL NEWS The flu, colds, a few cases ot chicken pox, and other general illness ill-ness have cut our daily attendance at school Very materially this past week. On one day there were seventy-five children absent. Sickness in not a respecter of persons, either, for Miss Stapley, Miss Glover, and Principal Bell have been out a day or more each. ' Our school has been and is being cleaned from floors to ceilings In all rooms with paint on the ceilings and good washing on the walls. It won't be long now until our whole school will have been gone over. It certainly makes things look brighter and students as well as teachers appreciate ap-preciate it. The school lunch, sponsored by the P.-T. A., is being patronized very well, Indeed. There are more than seventy five students who take advantage of a hot dish every day. If the children continue to patronize it, we will be able to pay all of the obligations we contracted, even though we make a very small margin mar-gin at three cents a serving, and giving to those who cannot afford to buy for themselves. The films for the regular weekly picture show failed to arrive last week but we expect them to come this week. Next week there will be eight reels, "Barbara Frietchle". For this show we will charge three cents per student admission to help defray de-fray the expenses of getting the films to us. We shall charge for one more this year and then all others will be free. We should be glad to have more parents visit the school to see what we are doing. We have had a great many already but we can't have too many. Come and sit in your child's class and see how he responds re-sponds in comparison to others, see what we are attempting to do and how we are trying to do it. It will be worth your, time and is Indeed much worth while to the students. O |
