Show OUTLOOK FOR THE JUMBO A dispatch from lewiston idaho says frank brown and fred H wood of the jumbo mine returned yesterday morning from buffalo hump and report that the jumbo cracker jack and mother lode no 2 are working full crews and are showing up we well 11 the hump is covered by three feet of snow and the indications seem to be favorable to a good water supply all summer with no such shortage in the fall as was experienced last year relative to the pending deal for the jumbo mr brown would only say that negotiations were still pending at the jumbo we are working forty men said mr brown the full battery of twenty four stamps is grinding away the chlorination plant is saving 95 per cent of the assay values 1 I we have already contracted for a chanid the tailings from the mill ing plant to treat and chlorination plant and expect to put it up in july the cyanide plant will have a capacity of fifty tons daily we have resumed work on the lower tunnel after being idle nine months and have run fifty feet further showing improvement all the way if the next feet shows u up p as well as has the last fifty feet the jumbo is worth more money than any mine in the state of idaho the cracker jack I 1 am told has better ore than was ever before encountered A crew of twenty men is is working and the full battery of twenty stamps is bonding away on the mother lode no 2 a crew of thirty men is at work the company is arif drifting ting both ways at the foot level and has a splendid showing which is improving daily theodore parks has just arrived after his eastern trip and has started work on the little may he has a fine prospect on this property just before I 1 left I 1 heard a report that the seattle and virginia people owning the buffalo chief were preparing to send in a big crew of men to work the mine this summer |
