Show THE STOCKTON STOCK TON PULLING OUT there is rejoicing in the household of the stockton gold mining milling company over the very satisfactory returns from the initial shipment of concentrates from the companas comp anys new mill and the officers and stockholders of the association feel that the worst is past that the enterprise is now nearly out of the woods and that the future presents clear sailing with prospective dividends in sight on the the company received returns from its first shipment of concentrates which were settled for at a basis of 52 per cent lead and 21 ounces in silver to the ton representing a saving of 85 per cent of the assay value of the crude ore treated the first run was made on the lowest grade of ore to be found in the mine and still the results were most satisfactory as it was found that the milling cost was less than 1 per ton and four and a half tons of crude ore making into one of concentrates concentrate i at the present time on account of the general scarcity of water in the district the mill can be operated only ten hours a day later on however the water supply will be adequate for all purposes when 24 hour running will be the order of the day the company is also feeling good over the fact that during the past week two large and new bodies of excellent milling ore havea hava been uncovered in the mine workings As a consequence no difficulty will be experienced in keeping the mill in active operation for a long time to come later in the year the company will market considerable shipping ore the making of a mine of the stockton and its proper equipment has been a long hard pull with manager J J and his associates but his perseverance and good judgment have met with well merited reward and now he is able to boast of the fact that the stockton is a producer and a regular shipper T W galigher the corn com banys superintendent is also entitled to a great deal of credit for the promising condition of the property |
