Show ARIZONA prescott herald ed Kl kienzle enzle superintendent of the dunkirk mine and richard lamson of the firm of R lamson and company went out to the mines this afternoon and will spend several days in that vicinity making arrangements for the commencement men cement of active work chloride arrow R J fergusson and sons have a two foot streak of seventy dollar ore in the redemption mine which they are taking out and expect to have a carload ready for shipment early next week they are going to put a few more men to work on the mine which will enable them to ship about a carload of ore a month tombstone prospector john hill the well known bisbee mining man and one of the original owners of the easter sunday near that city is here on court business the mine is at present being worked under lease by parties who are making quite a nice thing out of it they have recently uncovered quite a large body of high grade ore prescott journal miner J J brooks came in last evening from the bannie mine having resigned as superintendent of that property W W white was installed last evening as foreman of the property and will have complete charge of it mr brooks will leave beave in a short time for los angeles on a business trip which will probably occupy his time for a month or so chloride arrow william robinson has on exhibition this week some ounce silver ore from the homes Homie take stake mine at mineral park recently discovered at the ninety foot level the streak is about nine inches in width and is covered with native silver sam hess and alfred are interested with him in the property and they will do some work on it to ascertain the extent ol of the find prescott journal miner john mcdonald is engaged in working the mark twain mine about eight miles south of prescott the mark twain is an extension of the blue dick a mine in which mr mcdonald was formerly interested and from which he took out many thousand dollars may he have as good success in the mark twain as he had in former form er years in the blue dick he is now taking out a good quality of copper and silver ore kingman miner the gold road company has let contracts to several miners to break 11 3 30 tons of ore daily in the gold road and billy bryan mines the price is said to be per ton the company to furnish power for the machines and muck the pre ore away the mill handles tons daily which will leave little margin for the min ers to work on in keeping it it steadily at work the company is also to install hoist at the level from which point the th shaft will be carried down several hundred feet fu further clifton copper era john bj brown rown of du luth an extensive mine owner and operator is spending some time in this section I 1 binl specking spec ting the mines he is a practical miner and has developed some of the big mines of the country and made them noted ted producers he does his own exper exporting ting as the properties with which he has been the most successful had been turned down by eminent experts mr brown is well pleased with the clifton morenci district and may conclude to do some business here prescott journal miner W W elliott the well known mill man returned last night from mccabe where he set the stakes for the model mining companas comp anys new mill and hoist work began this morning on the grading for the new hoist and will be rushed ahead as fast as possible mr elliott is now at work on the plans for the mill and they wil be ready in about two weeks the machinery has been ordered through brown bros of 0 this city and is now on the road the new mill will have a capacity of fifty tons per er day arid and will be the latest improved machinery for that purpose |
