charge of the work yerington naton times we are informed from a very reliable source that development work on quite an extensive scale will be com maced on the bluestone mine on or about the first of next month probably thirty or forty miners will find employment the smelter is not to be started up at present the object of the company being to first open up the ore bodies by sinking and crosscutting el As we have before stated is on the foot level of this mine a forty foot ledge of copper ore which will average from eight to ten per cent this is certainly a good enough prospect to follow down and this is what is going to be done we are informed that if the mine shows up as well at a depth 0 of f two or three hundred feet more as she now does that the smelter will be moved down to the river a concentrating plant added a tramway built to carry ore from the mine to the reduction plant and some kind of a railroad built to connect with the C C at or near wabuska babuska Wa buska the excelsior company owns several claims surrounding the bluestone proper and a survey of these claims is now being made for the purpose of having them patented |
