| Show OPENING UP NEW QUINCY ORE mine superintendent P P harrington ot the new quincy mining company re reports ports from the mine at park city utah that the crosscut south from the top of the main raise has encountered the ore shoot which was opened first feet west of that point the ore is said to be of a better grade than h where first encountered and this last strike is particularly pleasing to stockholders as 1 it t means that ore development from now on can he be carried on continuously the present big showing of ore in the new quincy was first opened last spring in a drift which had been extended feet westerly from the top of a foot raise above the level of the daly DaIy west through which the property is being developed shipments from that point commenced at once coming back about feet in the drift the management sent out a crosscut to the south which cut the shoot again within a distance of thirty eight feet the values were higher here the management then crosscut directly from the top of the raise and the present strike is the result development to the south and east is to be continued and later an effort will be made to locate tile ore beds higher up it is pointed out by operators of the camp that the fhe present showing in this property is at greater depth than the ore deposits in some adjoining properties where the richest ore came from considerably less depth it is the general opinion that the management is on the right track and that the new quincy has the making of a big mine within its confines W mont ferry of salt lake is president of the company |
