Show J THE MAJESTIC MINE REPORTS the management of the majestic mines company owning the hickory harrington hickory and hoosier boy mines in beaver county utah has submitted a report for operations in 1913 president IV D elwell says for the year 1913 steady development work has been prosecuted resulting in a considerable amount of underground devel at the old hickory mine and shipments from this property of tons of ore on the foot level 1000 feet of drifting was done in addition to very considerable sloping in the open cut at the hoosier boy mine a new vertical shaft hasteen has been sunk feet and is being continued now feet further on the foot level we have drifted oin feet on the jis fissure sure poles are now eing ing laid 1 ty by the electric power company that within a few days we expect to 0 so o this mine equipped with electric have ye power ower and this will enable us to sink the shaft haft and develop more rapidly as well as more economically manager moffat is much pleased with r the showing already made at the hoosier boy and we are hoping for most satisfactory results when we gain greater depth t awe have added considerable new machinery chir iery during the year and at present our plant is in excellent condition the mines smelting smelling Sm elting company settled our suit against them by a cash payment of on january 1 1913 the treasurer reported that he had on hand with all billa bill paid on january 1 1914 he reported cash on hand with all bills paid from this you will see that after a year of aggressive and satisfactory development work and paying for new equipment besides sinking the new shaft at the hoosier boy feet the cash on hand has increased we are glad to assure the stockholders progress while perhaps not as rapid 1 as we might desire has nevertheless veen been Y steady and that the properties as well as the companas comp anys treasury both show manifest improvement over a year ago |
