Show GRAY EAGLE AND SILVER CITY tribune caldwell idaho the gray eale eagle and silver city mining and milling co ltd has been recently organized in caldwell the company is composed largely of parties in this city the showing of their claim is certainly fine the company owns a group of five mining claims situated on west sinker creek bwy hee county idaho and about four miles north of silver city the claims are traversed by two distinct ledges there has been considerable surface work done on the different veins the principal vein has been opened on the surface for several hundred feet the deepest is a shaft ly twenty five feet and shows a strong ledge two and one half feet wide of solid ore and a number of samples taken from the grass roots to the bottom of the shaft gave an average value of per ton gold with a small per cent silver and three samples taken by the writer at random from the dump gave values as follows and per ton it is the intention of this company to commence development work on the property just as early in the spring as is possible to get timber and supplies to the mine and push the work as fast as money and energy dan can do it in sinking the first hundred feet on the ore body the showing on the property is exceptionally tio nally fine and the company feel that they will be amply paid for all the money they a are re putting into the proposition as it will be a money getter as soon as there is means provided for handling and treating the ore the company is incorporated for dollars divided into shares at the par value of 10 cents per share the company is provided with a full set of officers composed of five directors selected from the principal stockholders with T M nichol i president neal mcaskill vice president pres adent T E buckner treasurer A M cox secretary tary and bradford hurt of pearl as general manager there is a large amount of capital stock set apart for treasury stock or working capital of which a small block ls is authorized to be sold at the present time |
