| Show TO BURY VETERANS OF WARS not exceeding to be allowed for interment of participants in american conflicts information has been sent to all posts of the american legion concerning the payment of funeral expenses tor for indigent world war veterans by the united states veterans bureau A sum not exceeding will be paid where it la is shown that the deceased did not leave sufficient clent funds to defray expense of in addition to this payment transportation por tation charges will be paid by the government from place to death to that of interment it if it Is within the continental limits ot of the united states burial in national cemeteries win will follow if requested proof that the veteran Is indigent that no money or property Is due him and that relatives refuse to io provide such funds Is required this ruling will relieve many posts of the legion frequently called upon to pay funeral expenses of war veterans dying in their locality without funds the ruling applies to veterans ve of all american wars |
