Show Bingham Firemen Win Many Honors At 13th Annual State Convention r . No. 2 Department Wins First Place in Class A Division in First Aid; No. 1 Auxiliary Wins in Parade. Two Men Named As Association Officers - i i Jr-'V -.- Returning with triumphs in competitive and elective honors, Bingham Firemen were unanimous unani-mous In terming the three-day thirteenth annual Utah State Firemen's association meeting concluded Wednesday in Mldvale aa one of the finest ever held. Numbered among the distinctive distinct-ive awards given Bingham units was the silver sup won by the Bingham No. 1 Ladies auxiliary for best marching. Members of the unit wore red and white uniforms uni-forms completed with red and white capes and caps. Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Harris led the women and coached them in their drills. The Copperton band accompanied the auxiliary. Bingham Firemen No. 2 won "V ' 1 - - I " 1 v ; Sk I o 1 Earl T. James Second vice-president Utah State Firemen John J. Creedon Wlnfl unanimous approval m office first in the class A first aid contest con-test and a trophy. This same group won first last year in the class B contest in Ogden. Dr. M. Smernoff coached the team. Bingham Bing-ham No. 1 was Judged third in the class A first aid competition. In the class B first aid contest con-test Bingham No. 1 was placed second. John J. Creedon was reelected secretary " by acclamation. This will be. his fifth term in that office. Earl James was selected as second vice president, from which post he will ultimately rise to the presidency, according to precedent determining selection of that officer. Next year delegates of the 800 state firemen belonging to the association will gather in Price for the 1938 convention, a decision de-cision reached by ballot Tuesday. Nineteen of the twenty-five Firemen in the No. 1 company marched In the two-mile parade Wednesday. The Bingham hospital hospi-tal first aid float, originally designed de-signed for the Bingham Fourth of July parade, was a part of the Firemen's parade entry.
