Show MIDVALE WINS FROM U. S. IN CLOSE CONTEST Mldvale gained a 11-10 victory vic-tory from U. S. Mines Sunday at Copperton park in a 6ee-saw affair in which the lead changed hands lour times. The outcome was decided In the seventh and elgth innings. The six runs gained gain-ed in the seventh and eighth when Ralph Fielder led the attack-on -Bill Mclvor and Frank Shepherd were responsible for the win. Joe Vecchlo and Rod Adams led the , offensive for U. S. by poling out home runs after this attack. Fred Sanford replaced Louis Valdez on the mound and Fred ' gained credit for the victory vic-tory by limiting U. S. hitters to one hit in the ninth. Darrel Day and George Vaughn hit three times In five tries for Mldvale. Peterson had tour hits in five times up for Mldvale. |
