Show TO ill H 1 n fU O 7 THIRD WARD WAED BAZAAR BAZA OPENED r lAST NIGHT 5 Very Ve Creditable and Enjoyable Per Performance r Given by Young o rig Men Hen and Women if tr The Third ward meeting me house was filled to its utmost capacity Jast last even evening ev evening n ning ing at of the merry makers carnival given for the benefit of the building fund The house which was decorated by Jacob Held was brilliant brilliantly ly lighted by many man colored col red electric lights and profusely draped with Streamers of national na colors with Uh back backgrounds backgrounds backgrounds grounds of large United States flags flaJs In one end of the room Was as a raised dais beautifully decorated in oriental ori style where were seated the queen and her court courtIn courtIn In the center of the dais beneath a canopy of national colors fringed with electric lights was the golden throne on which were seated the king and queen James Ball and Miss Pearl Weiler Veiler who were dressed in royal pur pie and wielded golden sceptres over their merry court On either side of the throne were seated the lords and ladies of the court Two little girls sirls dressed in pale blue silk trimmed with golden lace made very pretty and L charming pages On a lower dais set the prime min minister minister mm ister in all his dignified glory await awaiting awaiting awaiting ing to announce the pleasure of th queen On either side of the room were pretty booths where fancy work candy cand peanuts and popcorn were on sale by winsome young youna ladies adies Ona Ono booth which received much patronage was that of Rebecca at the well weH where cool and refreshing beverages bever es were served to the thirsty patrons In Inan Inan an adjoining room was the palace of varieties which drew interested 1 crowds to its many performances Its special features were by Professors and Jensen who amused the crowds by numerous comical performances A continuous round of laughter was kept up by the court jesters who were in invariably invariably invariably variably on hand with some pithy re remark remark remark mark t I The following was ren rendered rendered dered tiered as a special the evening Comic song Will Guitar s solo lo C D r 1 Recitation Ed MIdgley Cornet solo John Held d 1 Rainbow dance Sybil Sybll Foote Foot 1 Novelty s What is it ft All the performers did exceedingly s well but special credit is due Miss 3 Foote Although quite young and en entirely entirely entirely her dancing was a revelation Much credit for the success of tha tho affair is due Mrs Georgia Foote and Mr Hewlett who have contributed liberally to it It is thought that or will be realized from the enter entertainment entertainment |
