JUDGES NAMED FOR BIG FAIR State Association Appoints Important Officials for De Departments Departments Departments of Exposition WILL ATTEND OGDEN SHOW CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING THE OXEN GOES TO IDAHO MAN MANA A number of ot important appointments of officials who will have charge of the ex ox exhibits exhibits hibits and the awards at the Inland Em Empire Empire Empire pire exposition in Salt Lake next fall fail were made at the meeting of the board bord of directors tors tori of ot the Utah State Fair Fall association at the chamber of commerce It was the unanimous sense of the directors that they attend the opening of the fair at Ogden Sept 6 S to 12 and lend every effort possible po to making it a grand suc sue success cess ce The meeting was an enthusiastic one and sod the following directors were present J G McDonald president R H R Irvine John Seely Sooty William F Armstrong Frank J 3 Hewlett C A A B Carstensen Mrs M Id A Empey M l K Parsons The bids for the erection of the lavatory at the state fair grounds were ere opened and the contract was awarded to Brown Hayward for 1988 L Thomas H Smith of Cleveland Ida was WIlB awarded the contract for furnishing twelve pair of oxen for use in the Battle I of the Plains Plants at the Inland Empire expo exposition altion With the oxen must also alS be fur furnished furnished competent drivers J T W WY Burton was appointed judge of the bench show In the department of educational art Mrs Mn W Yo V W Riter was given gien charge with Mrs Mn Parrett and J Leo Fairbanks as assistants Mrs Irs N A Empey Empe was named as man manager manager manager ager in the needlework department with Mrs Ardella Eardley as assistant Mrs Empey will name another assistant soon The agricultural department will wilt have William C Winder as manager His as assistants assistants assistants will Wilt be H C Carlyle and Joseph JosephA A Cornwall The judges In this depart department department ment will wilt be Albert G and Henry H F Burton Professor Woodward of or the tee State Agri Agricultural Agricultural Agricultural cultural college will have charge of all dairy products and will as judge The next regular reg Jar meeting of the board will be held Wednesday Sept 1 at the chamber of commerce building
