| Show CANT 81 STAND AND FOR D O P FELT FEET Members of the Utah Press As Association Association Association Announce Their Determination to Resign The Utah Press association is about to tobe tobe tobe be disrupted as the result of a ro row that was precipitated last nIght by bv the tho prel dent David P Felt at a special meet Ing of the association Members of the tha organization say ay they will ill not put up I with the methods of Felt any an longer longen and that if he does not resign l at the thc th next meeting which will be called after the excursion to Los Angeles in May they will withdraw and organize a new rew association The trouble was started last night by Felt who wanted to be placed place In sole sol charge change of the Los Angeles excursion asking that the other members of the t le excursion committee J T Jakeman tend and Parley P Jensen be discharged ed Before the heated discussion that followed had progressed progress d far Felt was openly accused by bv Jensen of ot collecting money on the last excursion of the association which was vas vasto to Portland and of failing falling to account for it Felt unfurled his red banner at the banquet held h ld at the Commercial club The members of the association wanted to lo take a trip around the city last night in a Seeing Salt Lake car ear but Felt aM sall that he as president had called calle a meet meeting meeting meeting ing for 7 When hen the meeting convened Felt FeIt declared that the other members of the excursion committee Jakeman and Jensen had not consulted him in making the arrangements and that he felt he had been treated discourteously discourteously discourteously Ha Ho H demanded that either the theother theother other members of the committee be dis discharged discharged charged and he given sole charge of the excursion or that he be relieved from duty Jik J man and Jensen replied th t they had tri tried ried d to get Felt to work with wAth them but that he did not see fit to do doso doso doso so The he result was that the association decided to let the committee members fight it out ou among themselves Several everal members declared they would resign if Felt r boss of pf the association a The resignations presented were not ac accepted accepted accepted and May lIay 3 was decided upon as ib the date for the Los Angeles excursion Some time during that journey a date will be set 5 t for a special meeting of the association for the purpose of disposing of the controversy Y S |
