| Show UTAH PRODUCTS WEEK EK 7 the schools and nit merchants bant of davis county are taking an active part in utah products week which is from november to wednesday B mendenhall vice president of the manufacture ers association of utah visited the junior elih high 0 school at bountiful the central high school at kaysville Kays ville and also the schools at centerville Cent erville farmington and layton and talked upon the subject of home industry pointing out to the the large number of splendid opportunities which young people have here in utah it is expected that the merchants of davis county during the week will decorate their windows with utah products and put the products of local factories generally to the front subject of home industry will also be taken up in most of the ward meetings next sunday night greater enthusiasm enthus iam iain is being manifested in utah products week this year than ever before the movement is designed to encourage ra t e home industry and point out the opportunities which exist in the different communities of tile the state for new enterprises it has been endorsed by the leadin leading cities and towns by the state superintendent of public instruction by county and city superintendents of Seh schools by the state federation of clubs and by the leading ministers of the churches as well as the presiding bishopric of the morman church tile the latter organization has P afi bially endorsed the movement by sending t letters to the bishops in the state suggesting to them that the services on sunday november be devoted to the subject of home industries once of the big features of the weeg will be the work to be done in the schools R IV eardley secretary of the manufacturers association of utah has scores of requests tor for speakers from schools in every part of the state and arrangements have practically eti cally been completed to supply tile the number of speakers requested amon among the to which speakers will be sent are arc the university of utah the agricultural college of logan 0 all the schools of salt lake including the east and west high schools the L D S university saint clarys academy all the schools of ogden inc including ludin the ogden high school and weber i academy all the schools of utah county and of provo including the brigham young university and provo high school the gran ite high school hi school schools of the tintic gintic dis Y brict park city high 0 school the tooele thoele high school beaver nigh high school Al murdock academy bea ver all the schools of millard af pf county nephi nigh high school the snow academy of ephraim all the schools of sevier county including high schools of richfield monroe and salina price and carbon county schools including the price high school davis county schools including kays ville high school the merchants of the different towns are also taking I 1 a decided interest in utah products week it is expected that most of the stores will decorate their windows with utah made goods and put the products of the local factories generally to the front window poster announcing the week have been prepared and will fcc be used in connection with window display A number of the co clubs have ar arrange rangel 0 to gives a utah products dinner using special features in connection with the work of the organizations A committee of one hundred men has the work in charge and this large t committee has been subdivided to carry out the different features feat udes |
