Show Eccentric Mr. Sammons Montgomery, Mont-gomery, Orange county, N. Y., Au-giint Au-giint 13. One of the most eccentric persons in this eeotiou of the country is Mr. John S. Sammons of Caliabar, towu of Crawford, a few miles from this place. Sammons is an old man now. He is the enme person who bought a coffin for himself, predicting that he should ehnfHe ofl his moral coil, twenty one years ago. His demise, de-mise, according to bis own calculation, calcula-tion, wab to have occurred August 20, 1850, and he has, therefore, outlived his allotted time about twenty-one years. He is 73 years ol age, iu good health, lives carefully and prudently, attires himself in garments gar-ments of a 6lyle far from fashionable, and is a bachelor.
