Show Amateur Theatricals. Last evening the 17th Ward A ma teur dramatic association gave one of their rechtrchc entertainments in the 17lh Ward schoolrooms. The bill presented consisted of the well known drama "Golden Farmer," in which James Twitcher exhibited some of hii handkerchief twitching propen-mies. This was followed by the comic farce j "Rival Actors," and the performance j was wound up by a medley of duets, songs, guitar duet, recitations and a j very creditable clog dance by Mr. ! Ainsworth, the entire entertainment being creditable to the young gentle-! men and ladies composing the troupe. I The Btage scenery and drop curtain ; were designed and painted by Messrs. : Pitt and Peck, and reflect great credit on their taste and ability. |
