Show t tiioii au!i(:c liailromJ. Boston, 7. Thu annual meeting of the stockholders of the Union Pacific railroad company was held to-day. Il was' called to order by Jay Gould who nominated John B. Alley for chairman, and he was chosen, with Henry McParland secretary. The whole number of votes cast was 207 -9S'J, nil of which were for the following follow-ing gentlemen, and they were elected the board of directors: Oliver Ames Elisha Atkins, F. Gordon Dexter' Benj. E. Bates, Boston; Wm. L Scott, Jay Gould. Sydnev Dillon, Cornelius Cor-nelius K. Garrison, David Daws, James Richardsor., Horace S. Porter' S. H. H. Ciarke, Ezra H. Barker' John Sharp and Greenville M. Dodge. Immediately after the adjournment of t!-.e stockholders a meeting of the new board of directors was held and Sydney Dillon was chosen president and Elisha Atkins vice president. A letter was received from E. H. Undine United States senator from Xew Hampshire, resigning the otfic of secretary of the corporation, and Henry McFarlaud, assistant treasurer, treas-urer, was chosen secretary, and Oliver W. Muiek, chief clerk," was chosen treasurer. |
