Show Theatre. . There was a fair-sized audienca at the theatre last evening, on the occasion occa-sion of Mr. Phil. Margctts' benefit. The entertainment w.is made ' up of "Romeo JalBer Jenkins," "The ToodleB," and the "Green-eyed Granger," the beueficiaro appearing in all Romeo Jaffier Jenkins in the first, Mr. Timothy Tocdljs in the-second, the-second, aud Trotter Southdown in the last. The other characters were taken by Messrs. Graham, Evars, Forster, Wilton, Bownng, Misses Carrie G'Kgswcll, Ruth Jcnes, Mev damcs Harris, Marden and other ladies and gentlemen of the local company. The bill was exclusively one of fun, and as such was heartily enjoyed by those present. Mr. Mar-getts, Mar-getts, of course, was the central figure, and brought frequent applause ap-plause and occasioned loud merriment merri-ment in the audience. |
