Show The Cireus. Montgomery Queen's circus and menagerie gave its flret exhibition yesterday attcrnoon, and, of course, attracted a tremendous audience; but last night the mammoth pavilion wei filled with people. Many had come in from tho country to boo the show, at which almost every town within twenty milts of the city waa represented, repre-sented, while some were here from burga even further distant. It aeems astounding, but the "draw" powers of a circus are as good now as ever, or even better. It is useless to talk to people of hard times when the circus, with the wild .boasts, comes around. Mr. Quoen baa certainly an excollont show, possessing many attractions. His circua company, as a whole, is perhaps equal to any performing in the country, and baa many first-class first-class artists of the spangled and sawduat order. The trapezists, tbe Belmonts, . the daring somersault rider Wooda Cook, tho bareback ridor Seb.ieLiau, and numerous other celebrities are in the show, and ap pear at every performance. Tbe menagerie contains many of the rare animals and birds of the earth, and forma an interesting leature of the show. There will bs another street parade thia morning, and two performances to-day afternoon and evening, and to-morrow the Ogden people will have an opportunity to aee the afiair. |
