Tha regular train to Nl-w York and Philadelphia, conaiat-infi conaiat-infi of seventeen coached, had about 1,200 posaengera on loard. The train waa two hours behind, aud on reuching the Bummit stopped for water irom a tank. While there a heavy coal train ran into the rear of tho passenger train, teledcoping two of the cars through and breaking five others. The scone that ensued was heartrending, although by moat miraculous circumstances, the number num-ber of killed were out few.
