Show THE FUNERAL. President Young's Body lo Lie in State. It was the original intention not to admit tbe public to view the body oi President Brighara Young until Sunday Sun-day morning, two hours before the commencement of the funeral services. ser-vices. The very general desire to see the deceased, aud the certainty of thero being present at tbe tabernacle on Sunday a tremendous crowd, has led to tbe making of a satisfactory change in the programme. Tbe body will lie in state, in the new tabernacle, from this morning at 9 o'clock until 11 o'clock on Sunday. It will be in tbe coffin, which will be enclosed in a metallic time, a glaea being over tbe face. The public will be admitted to the taberuacle at any time between the hours indic-altd above. From the ' Deaoret News of last evening we lake the following OFFICIAL PSOGtUMME AND INSTRUCTIONS INSTRUC-TIONS : As soon as tbe probable number ol seventiee, high priests, elders, aud th leaser priesthood is ascertttiued, ulace will be assigned them in the ubt-r nacle, during the funeral ceremonies ol President Brig ham Young. These uiuerem quorums win noiu meeiinga this evening for the purpose of learn mg in relation to this matter, and will also appoint committees to attend to tbe Beating of their quorums, and to arrange for them to take part in the procession. It ia desirable that each quorum should attend to its own organization for tbe procession bo a to aave time, obviate confusion, and lessen the labor of the man ha Is. The procession will leave the tabernacle eight abreast, and walk through tbe south gate and up the north sidewalk of South Temple street to the Eagle gate and thence up through President Young'a grounds to hie cemetery. A programme pro-gramme will be arranged for the procession, pro-cession, assigning to each body iu proper place. Tne intention at pres ent is for the general authorities to occupy the stand. For greater convenience, con-venience, however, it will be well for the presidents of the high pries ta, ot the elders, and of tbe lesser priest, hood to sit with their reapective quorums, ao that they can take their places fjr tbe procession. The high council of this utake and the visiting presidents and counselor ot state from other places, and members ol high councils of other stakes will have seats assigned to them on the plat form south of the stands, The Tenth Ward brass baud, the Glee club, which will sing at tho vault, and the city council will aUo be seated south ot tbe stands oa the platform. The platlorm on tbe not th Bide ol the stands will be occupied by .the biahops and their counselors of this atane, ana toe visiting Disc ops aua counselors from other stakes. Seats will be reserved immediately in front of the stands on both sides of the cen tre aiule for the family and relatives of tbe honored deceased. It is desired that all who reside iu tbe city and its vicinity who desire to view the remains of President Young will do so to-day, and once haviDg seen the body will be satisfied with that view and not try to obtain an other to tho exclusion of persons per-sons who may not have had an opportunity of seeing it at all. If this bo Btrictly observed, the brthern and Bisters who come from other settlements on Sunday morning, cfto have the privilege of getting a view of tbe body; and unless this be observed it would be difficult for them to get ioto the tabernacle fur thai purpose. We oannot impress tbi too much upon tbe residents of this city and its vicinity. Thousand b will probably come by the morning trains, all of whom will be anxious to get a last look at the face of their beloved president, pro- i phet and leader. Arrangemeats will : be made for as many as possible to have this privilege, but in the short time remaining, only a limiteo number can possibly, with the best arrangements, pass by the coffin. Too much cannot be said upon the necessity of observing strict order. There will be a body of men detailed as special police for the occasion; and we hope that every man, woman and child in the community com-munity will conform to the arrangements arrange-ments that will be made, and not impose unpleasant duties upon thoae acting ae special policemen. Let ua show respect to the memory of our great leader by observing that order of which he himaelf waa so deep an admirer and great example. Let no man, woman or child say or do a thing on the solemn occasion ef his funeral which if be were present in person would grieve or annoy him. Of necessity there will huve to be ulrict arrangements to save confusion, as them will be doubtless aniumense umber ot people present. Burnett's Flavoring Extracts The superiority of these extracts consists con-sists in their perfect purity and great strength. They are warranted free from the poisonouB oils and acids which enter into the composition of many of the factitious fruit flavors now in the market. They are not only true to their names, but are prepared from fruita of tho best quality, qual-ity, and are bo highly concentrated that a comparatively small quantity only neixi be uaed. ia30 |
