New York, 29, The Herald edi-torally edi-torally summarizing its Indian war dispatch says: The Powder river column has succeeded in finding ihe enemy, and Beetns to have found pretty roueh customers. After a march uninterrupted for 24 hours, the column of cavalry 1,000 strong, uuder command of General Mackenzie, Mac-kenzie, CHme upon a village of Cheyennea under Chief Dull Knife, and at once attacked. Owing to the difficulties of the ground the Indians weie able to ofler a determined resistance, resis-tance, and by the last accounts they wero not inclined to abandon the battle-Geld. The mistakes of the last campaign have reacted on the savnges, and they no longer fear our soldiers, oven when those happen to be in superior numbers. A dispatch dated in the field November 2oih, ia Fort Fetterman, givea tho following additional par-ticulars par-ticulars of General Mackenzie's fight on the 25th: Tlie hoatiles had been having a war dance all night and were not taken by surprise by the attack, which was made at BUnrise.
