Show Come On Witli Your Denials. Major Erb says tho statements in the Salt Lake Herald, iu regard to himself and his bouse, were untrue. Tribune. The only statement in the Herald in regard to Major Erb was that he had instituted an investigation into the a'lugad assassination busioess. Nothing was said in regArd to the gentleman's house. Major Erb did institute an investigation, hence the statement was not untrue. Don't squeal before you are hurt. Dr. Thompson desires us to say tbat the-statement made by the Herald, Her-ald, that he treated Mr. Stillson for delirium tremens, waa unauthorized: by him. Tribune. We did not claim that any statement state-ment in the Herald wub authorized by Dr. Thompson; but Dr. Thompson bas not been sparing of his tongue in regard to Stillson and his liquid pro ctivities, evsr since the scribe refused to pay the doctor's feo, which necessitated neces-sitated the suit in the justice's court. Tlii) doctor has talked it in the pres ence ol the writer and to numerous people; aud as regards the suit, the justice's docket tells about that.
