Show Barbarous Exhibition. Editor Herald: A most brutal exhibition was witnessed wit-nessed yosterday afternoon on Main and South Temple streets. Two . animals gave a performance that I suppowe would, among Eavages, be called horse-breaking. One of the parties was dressed in the garb usually worn by humans with the addition of Mexican spurs. He looked like a white man. The other animal was a , horse. For about a mile and a half he kept pounding the poor brute with those spurs till the blood spurted out , of its sides. Now, if such conduct is really necessary in breaking a horse, which I doubt, it seems to ma the etreets of a city are not tbe proper places for such exhibitions. Observes . , |
