Show Till Sounds Like Lockley. New York, II. The Herald'a Salt Lake special says: According to hundreds hun-dreds of dispatches sent ofl' to-day it id evident that tho twelve apostles and their friends have given orders tnat the church, mtianiug the un tutored masses, must accept this epistle as settling the question of the leadership; that heaven has conferred the ruling power upon these twelve men, and that it will be an o fie nee to raiae objections. These men, several ot whom are said to have their names on indictments for participation in murder and other crimes, have thus the audacity to flaunt their bigotry and craft in the teeth of this nation and anter at the enlightenment ol the nineteenth century. |
