Show Strike in the Kinner Mine. A recent number of the Silver Reef Miner says that a very large body ol high grade ore was struck last week in the-, north shaft of the Kinner mine, at a depth of perhaps 160 feet. The width of the ore vein will average aver-age eight feet, while it ia sate to put the average value of the rock at $S0 1 per ton. Speoimons which we have ' been shown were especially rich in . horn silver, and would probably assay ; away up in the thousands. A whim i is now being erected and hoiBtiog will be commenced as soon a it is completed, com-pleted, when the Kinner may be expected ex-pected to make iu mark ae a bullion producer. This is considered one of tbe most important strikes ihat has yet been made in the district, and it tends to prove what haB olten been aeecrted heretofore, that tho camp is but yet in its infancy, and baa not yet acquired what midht bn tPrmH good starter. Toe Kinner mine when properly opened, as there is little doubt it will be under the systematic and intelligent supervision of Colonel Wail, will ho fully capable of keeping five stamps in constant operation, as it is uudoubLedly one of the biggest mines in the district. |
