Show Two companies ol infantry and one of artillery, with four guns, were sent to Hazle'on, Fa., on Wednesday, to preserve order at the scene of the coal miners' riot?, the sheriff fiuding it impossible to maintain the piece with a police forco. The mines are all flooded with water, from which it will take four or five mouths to clear them, during which time the miners must remain idle. The miners ot Stockton refused to assist in extinguishing extin-guishing a fire which accidentally caught in one ot the mines. The situation sit-uation is deplorable, and likely to be worse. |
