Show BAD WEATHER BUT GOOD TIMES COMING. We ure now in the midst of our bad weather, (if it can be called so) tho season when all our canon roads ' aro muddy fioui melting snow, and teaming, when it can be done, of little avail. As a consequence the furnaces are running light and many stacks idle; b.U the mining industry keeps piling up the ore ready for the pleasant days of May and June. Thus far 1S75 shows a considerable increase of bullion shipments over the year 1S7-4, and we are in hopes the amount will run fully up to $12,000,-000 $12,000,-000 for the year. This will be a large out-crop of metal, and when we take iuto consideration the material advance ad-vance of our c.t tended railroad lines, our increasing crop3 and general prosperity, Utah will not play second even to Colorado with its prospective state honors. Wo hope to welcome more visitors this year than ever before be-fore and trust many will find it to their interest to remain, and though we do not want it to be understood that we are "blowing" about the salubrity of our climate, there can be no question that we are more happily hap-pily situated than other points that lay claims to the perpetual delights of spring time. But it is useless to quarrel about it; we invite all to come aud seo for themselves. |
