Show Commissioners Court. On Menday, Mr. W. H. Hocking, a real estate agent in this city, was arrested on the charge of obtaining money under falBe pretenses. He was taken before Commissioner Sprague, and the case was iet for hearingonTueBday. At the appointed hour 3 o'clock the plaintiO in the case, John W. Clark, and those I interested in the matter, assembled and the hearing was commenced. A number of witnesses were examined, exam-ined, but being unable to conclude the case last evening, a continuation of the hearing waa set for Friday, morning at 10 o'clock, when other .;ina.Hfw will be exraiued. The amount claimed to hare been obtained ob-tained from Mr. Clark is $400. Pending the further hearing Mr. Hocking ia io the charge of the marshal. |
