Tbt sheriffs posse attacked tbe coal ranch at Fish Creek between Sunday and dark last evening; many Bbois were fired, and five Italians killed, and six badly wounded. Several prisoner were taken. None ot tbe sheriffs poese received a scratch in the fight. This caused many people to believe the coal burners were not armed. On the other hand the measeoger reports that an Italian fired the first shot. The exact truth cannot be ascertained until tho return of the coroner. The sheriffs party numbered num-bered nine men. Tho messenger asserts that they were confronted by 100 Italians, all well armtd.
