McCiellan'a seconds were Billy Edwards Ed-wards and Arthur Chambers; Donovan's, Dono-van's, James Coyle and Billy Eiley; Win, Barnes, referee. Tbe men were brought to the scratch at 9.25. Up to tbe thirtieth round, McCIellan had decidedly the best ol the nght, which wtia very lively, tbe men closing clos-ing and fighting each other, Donovan being thrown almost every round. In tbo thirty-fourth round, Donovan punished McCIellan Beverely in tbe hotly nud the latter, breaking away, fell winded. Donovan then forced the fighting up lo the fiftieth round, having much tho best of it. McClel 1an then began to get Becond wind and tbe rounds became long and uninteresting, un-interesting, both manceuvering and sparriDg for wind. In tbe seventy-second seventy-second round, Donovan got the first blood by a blow on McClellan's left eye. From tbat out, cautious tactics prevailed, McCIellan apparently ini proving over Donovan, but at the close of the ninety-fourth round, at 1.10 o'clock, tbe referee declared the match a draw, neither having any deoided advantage. Tho decision gave great dissatisfaction, and Donovan, Dono-van, after goinc ofl' the Btago returned and took position again, but Wf.s led off by lusseconds.
