Show The Canadian Reciprocity Treaty. New York, 5. The national wool-growers wool-growers association protest against the Canadian reciprocity treaty on the grounds that it is altogether in favor of Canadian industry and commerce com-merce and opposed to that of the United States. It allows Canadian vessels the enjoyment of American coasting and lake trade and to be registered reg-istered as United States ships. They predict that the ratification of the treaty would stimulate the industry of Canada at the expense of our own, and that the $13,000,000 which itj "people now contribute for duties would have to be surrendered. |
