Show Herrmann. The audience at the Tutalre last evening wea delightfully entertained Five years ago. Prof. Herrmann, id-t id-t king of Wizirds." appeared u the H Lake Tueatre, giving very gta-, gta-, eral taftion. Since then he ha traveled extensively, gathered many new tricks, and the evidence of improvement im-provement a9 a magician are apparent in his every act. Herrmann dgw unquestionably suuds at the head oi the profession. With few exceptions, ms tricks are new, and all are performed per-formed with an ease arri cleverness tnat mystify and p:ei5e. The pro. feseor's agreeable manners and happy humor were prominent features of the entettaiDmeuL The Lorella3 were a surprise and wonder to the audience. The impression im-pression that they were automatons, manipulated by He;rmaDn'a art seemed to be quite general; but when the three appeared I and were seen to bi real flesh and blood (they may be boneless) the astonishment was great, and increased throughout that part of the programme. The Lor ell. s are truly the "anatomical wonders" of the age. Such doubling and dancing, bouncing and boundine. faiiinc nri flying, kicking and capering as they did has never been Been here, the Majiltona even failing to reach the degree of BUppleness that these wonderful won-derful people have attained. If the Lorellaa were made more prominently a feaiure of the Herrmann entertainments, entertain-ments, the efleot would be good upon the audienoea and the Duraes of the managers. Professor Herrmann and tbe Lorellaa Lor-ellaa appear this evening for the last time. Tbe performances given by them are all first class, and together they make up a programme that is i amusing and entertaining from first to last. |
