Tho usual characters assumed on such occasions were to be seen, and all happily personated. per-sonated. The elegant hall was brilliantly bril-liantly illuminated and handsomely decorated, and Croft's brass band and Wclzcll's string band furnished an abundance of tho best music. At 11. GO p. m. the maskers rotircd for supper, and after the refreshments refresh-ments had been disposed of, resumed the dance, which had not ceased nt an early hour this morning. |
