The mine is Baid to be one of the richest gold mines ever known as regards depth and width ol vein. The width is about 100 feet, and pitches on aa incline of about G0. As far as developed the vein takes a straight course through the mountain, in a rather easterly direction, and can be traced (or more than 2,000 feet along on the outcroppicg3. The quartz pans free gold. VVe are eure o! having another bon.ii:z., called the National GrPen-bacit, GrPen-bacit, wh ch pans out free gold. The vein is about 100 feet wide. This mine n being put in good Bhape, with -qunre aelsof limber, under the supervision super-vision of Mr. Geo. Hull , a practical aimer and timberman. The 0-otauip 0-otauip mill is running constantly. I be Last Chance mine Btarted up again a lew days ago, and we may aoon expect to hear good results. The Neptune is being worked under lease by Mr. Riptoe, aijd some No. 1 ore is being taken cut. The Ten-Fony is aleo in full blast. It is being managed by Mr. Fred Williams, one of our enterprising enterpris-ing miners, who is doing well in extracting high grade galena ores. The Overland ia a property owned by Mr. W. E. Blenney. Its vein is some forty feet in width, and pan? free gold which averages about $'23 per ton. 8everal hundred tons are an the dump, with hundreds more in sight. It is now being worked by a iuiall force of men. The Agnes mine has been leased and is turning out some high grade ores. The Clipper, Eituated on the Tooele aide of the mountains, is still running with good results. The Old Telegraph ia working 150 men. It posted nolices last month, celling all its bachelor employes to eat at the company's boarding houBe, commencing October 1st. The alleged object was to have their men near at hand, and claiming that a man, after walking a long distance, was unable to do an honest day's labor. The Yosemite is working some twenty men and continues its customary custo-mary shipments of galena ore. The Old Spanish is still being worked lease on by Andy Boundy.anJ is doing well. The Jordan mine, of course, is a big thing, and speaks for itself. It has thousands of tons of free gold ore in Bight, and hundreds of tons have been cast over the dump as waste, which, however, will be gathered and put through the mill as soon as possible. possi-ble. The Chicago fire tunnel is now being pushed ahead by Embleyard Bush ; so also are the Victor by rtathan, Kempton & Co., and the Hugo by Mr. Julian. The latter is on the east of the National Greenback and Stewart No. 2, and running parallel. The Eveigrsen produces the usual umber of tons of high grade ore. The Teiwakie tunnel is being pushed ahead with vigor, and will soon r;acb ore, when a big Btrike is anticipated. October 7th, 1S79. Oo Thursday (to-morrow) the Stewart Stew-art No. 2 will shut down and change hands, passing under tbo control of ihe new company. Stewart No. 1 is running in her usual manner and is being thoroughly timbered with square Bets.
