Show TUE FAIR. It Will bo Open oa Monday. The fair aiiracttd immense crowds throughout the whole of yesterday, and everybody expressed unqualified satisfaction at the showing. Aa was expected, tbe Mustum is drawing many seekers of curioditiea and information in-formation It does not seem to be und'T-tood, however, by a great many, that the one ticket admiu the bearer to the sights of both the fair and the Museum, and for this reaon numbers do not visit tbe latter place. The Fourteenth Infantry Band discoursed dis-coursed some excellent music, yesterday, yester-day, and attracted larce crowds whenever when-ever it performed. Improvements were etill noticeahle, jD(j the .showiog of cheese from the Mountain dairy was Urge aod fine; also Mr. J, Silver's display in the machinery ma-chinery deoartment. After some deliberation and earnest oliciution, the board ot directors have decided to keep tbe lair open during Monday, tor tbe benefit of conlerence visitors, who will thus have an opportunity of which, had . the original programme been carried out, they would have been deprived. It will open on Monday from 7.30 a.m. ito 10 a.m.; from 12 m. tj 2 p.m., and from 4 pm. until 6 p.m. Tbe fair opens at 9 o'clock a.m. to day, aod remains open until 6 p.m. The exhibition of road horses took place at tbe Park yesterday. The judges have not yet made their awards; neither have tne special committee com-mittee od agricultural machinery. It is probable that both reports will be completed by to day. |
