Show Tneatre. Last night the play of " Charity " was repeated at the theatre, and received re-ceived with the same gratification and applause which marked its presentation pres-entation on Monday night. The piece was well played, Miss Dickio, Mr. Lingard and the others in the cast adding fresh laurels to their reputation reputa-tion by their respective rendering of the characters in this most beautiful play. This evening the performance is for the benefit of Wm. Horace Lh gard, and is positively the last appearance ap-pearance of the Lingard comedy company com-pany in this city. The charming play of " Alixe " will be repeated. It is one of the very finest pieces ever produced on this stage, and those who do not see it to-night will misa a rich dramatic treat. After thecotne-dy thecotne-dy Mr. Howard Paul will sing a couple of .his character songs, in his impersonation .of "Willie Spooney, the timid young man." The evening's entertainment will close with Mr. Lingard in his wonderful won-derful sketches, to which he will add new impersonations and songi. A crowded house should welcome the popular and inimitable Lingard on the occasion of his farewell appearance appear-ance and benefit. |
