Show Yellow Fever at Galveston. Washington, 31. A telegram from Key West announces that the yellow fever had greatly increased within a few days, and that all naval vessels were quarantined. Soldiers garrisoning garrison-ing the forts would leave immediately for colder quarters; that the epidemic waa spreading, and that deaths wore occurring in Key West. Instructions have been sent to surgeons at Pensa-cola, Pensa-cola, Mobile, New Orleans, and Galveston, Gal-veston, to be on the lookout for yellow yel-low jack, and promptly report its appearance. The United States steamer Dispatch sent to New Orleans to convey the senatorial party to Mexico was at Key West when the fever broke out, There is increasing solicitude in Washington, not only for the naval otlicere, but tor the prominent persons composing- the excursion party. |
