Show Utah Western Railway. Through the courtesy of George W. Thatcher and Ileher P. Kimball, esquires, es-quires, one of our reporters took a trip over tho above road yesterday, and reports a marked improvement in the running of trains ; the portions which required ballasting have most of them been perfected, and trains now pass over easily. The terminal point, yesterday, was at Townsend'a, but tho rails were laid to within 200 yards of Clinton's landing, and it was expected that tho remaining distance would be completed during last night and trains would run through to Clinton's to day or to-morrow. We i further understand that tho company expects to reach the half-way houso between this city and Stockton by the ' end of next month. |
