Show Another Robbery. The situation in this city is becoming becom-ing decidedly interesting for belated pedestrians. Last night another garroting and robbery was committed commit-ted on the public street, hut fortunately for-tunately the perpetrators of the deed did not obtain much. Mr. Oeorce Wright, a young man who resides in the Eighth ward, was going home about 11 o'clock, when near tho corner of Third South and Second East, two men Bprang upon and knocked him down, and robbed him of his pocket book. To prevent the young man from giving alarm, 'one of the ruffians held his hand over Wright's mouth. The pocket book contained only $3.50, but it was all the young man had. Wright was not hurt in theaflair. It stands people in hand who are on the street after dark, to be prepared pre-pared for midnight robbers, and be on the look out for them. |
