Show May Day Promises to be fair and pleasant and the escursioniets to Lake Point will have a delightful time. Some one has said there is no fun in the American Amer-ican people, but that with long and saddened visage they plod through the world, bent solely on the chase of that almighty dollar, with or without which they are equally miserable. He will be convinced of the contrary, so far as this latitude is concerned, who goes out on the train to-morrow and joins with that happy throng of merry men, women and children, leaving dull care behind for a half-holiday, half-holiday, a dance and a good time generally by the shores of the Great Salt lake. It will be a day of unalloyed unal-loyed pleasure, without pomp or ceremony cere-mony and long to be remembered by tbose who participate. Tickets, including in-cluding fare for gentlemen and lady out and back, and the privilege of the ball room, are only $-5. Those who desire it will be otherwise hospitably hos-pitably entertained by Judge Clinton, who knows how to cater for the wants of his customers, and who will provide pro-vide an ample stere of provender. The steamer will fire up for such as wish to avail themselves of a trip on the lake. Get your tickets early of any of the committee, or at Kahn Bro.'s store, Main street. |
