Show Both Boys- Never do we recollect of having Reen a mora self-satisfied expression than that which yesterday illuminated the countenance of our frieud, the natural blonde, Mr. L. U. Co'.bath. The cause of this apparent proud contentment was a conundrum, and we commenced guessing for the answer. Our first guess was that the Conistock had made Lem rich; next we thought the Vallejo had made him a millionaire, and so on we continued con-tinued to guess, always associating his happiness with a bonanza, but never hitting upon the right one, till finally he solved the puzzler. It's a boy, a bouncing juvenile, aud the exact image of his doting papa. This is the first event of the kind that has occurred in Lem's household, house-hold, therefore is he lilted up in the pride of his heart. The mother is doing well. Our Mr. Darke, also, was too happy to be of much actual service in the way of transacting ordinary every-day business. It, too, is a boy, and although not the first, the father's joy is unbounded. |
