If the details can be satisfactorily arranged, there will be an increase of indirect taxation and land, and an attempt to place the Prussian finance and railway departments depart-ments under tbe effective control of the imperial authorities. This latter measure, besides making tbe German Kovernment paramount in mailers financial, is intended to pave the way for adding to tbe chancellor's authority au-thority in other departments, and accordingly will be opposed by some ol the minor governments. It is better to overcome their resistance by popular and parliamentary supports. Borne of the leaders of the national liberal party will probably be request ed to join the German and JPruysian cabinets.
